Durban Point

The master planning and infrastructure roll-out has begun on the catalytic development node which is seen as a key inner city re-generation project providing housing, employment, commercial, retail and recreational facilities stimulating economic growth for the region. There remains around 555,000 bulk square meters to be developed as well as supporting infrastructure such as the recently completed Durban Point Promenade contract comprising of a 2-storey world class promenade spanning from Ushaka Pier to Vetch’s Pier (harbour entrance mouth). The lower level of the promenade also houses the new home to Point Water Sports Clubs and facilities. The construction of the Point Promenade was the last piece in the puzzle making it the longest promenade (nicknamed the “Golden Mile”) in Africa and 3rd longest promenade in the world stretching unobstructed 7km from start to finish.
